Crazy Critters Inc. Take A Walk With Us... It is our first official vlog!
We realize we need a microphone on the camera, however, please bear with us because we take you on a short walk around. Showing you some places most people do not see as a visitor. We also show you some babies! Who does not love babies? In the video, we tell you how we purchase wood from a local sawmill. We wood from B.G. and Sons Sawmill the address is 37324 County Rd 439, Eustis, FL 32736 We also show you some milkweed. So we thought we would share some Monarch Butterfly info. Wherever there is milkweed there will be Monarch butterflies. The monarch is widely distributed across North America, from Central America northwards to southern Canada, and from the Atlantic to the Pacific coasts. Three geographically distinct populations make up the total North American range of the species, one each both east and west of the Rocky Mountains, and one Central American. Each of these populations has a distinct migratory pattern. Monarchs that live west of the Rocky Mountains will migrate to southern California for winter while monarchs that live east of the Rockies will migrate to Mexico. All insects change in form as they grow; this process is called metamorphosis. Butterflies and moths undergo complete metamorphosis, in which there are four distinct stages: egg, larva (caterpillar), pupa (chrysalis), and adult. It takes monarchs about a month to go through the stages from egg to adult, and it is hormones circulating within the body that trigger the changes that occur during metamorphosis. Once adults, monarchs will live another two to six weeks in the summer. Monarchs that migrate live all winter or about six to nine months. Adopt – Breed – Rescue – Transport – Rehabilitate Who are Crazy Critters? Ken and Cherrice Purvee have been working together since 2001. We have been making raising plants and animals as natural as possible a life motto. For the past few years, always open to adopting exotic animals. Making people feel secure knowing their loved pet has a happy forever home. Mostly Tortoises and Turtles call Crazy Critters home. What makes us unique is that after adoption, Crazy Critters continues to share the lives of the pets on social media. Providing an additional continued connection.
