Greenhouse Update February 2020

The last we were in the greenhouse, Ken was halfway finished with that row of handmade Waterland tubs. Now he is all the way done. NOT! You know how it goes... count that you need this many of this and really you need many more. Ken has to go get more supplies in order to add the next row. We are able to use the money that was raised during Bob's Birthday Fundraiser. The original one started out so well that he extended the goal. But we were not able to raise his additional goal. However, the funds is needed no matter how small or large. If we had raised the amount he had wanted, we would have been able to get the equipment we need to dig out that large slide pond. Slider turtles are the most surrendered reptile and we had a freeze on adoption because we had taken in so many in a short amount of time. Now we have plenty of room and if we are not able to have the new large pond finished when someone needs our services, we will be able to house them at the few facilities that we support.
