Update On Freddy, The Macaws, Snow Leopard Tortoises, and Our Greenhouse...

You guys ask us all of the time how do we keep all of these turtles straight. First in this video we see some of the most beautiful Snow Leopard Tortoises. We wanted to purchase some but it is not in our budget any time soon. One day we hope to give Leo the Leopard Tortoise that resides here a friend but that is going to have to wait. After the baby tortoises, we get to see the macaws before treating some aquatic turtles for shell fungus. Well, I can hardly tell who Freddy is in this video. Keep in mind that I do not see well combined with the fact there are more than a half dozen turtles that all look just alike. Freddy came here with a fungus on her shell. But with that fungus almost gone, identification is difficult. With that said, she has moved to the back porch where we keep turtles in quarantine for some time and while there we had to clean her pond out. The way we install bulk-heads makes taking care of aquatic turtles so much easier and it does not take too long at all. Before ending the video, we check out the plant stock in the greenhouse for this week’s plant sale fundraiser. We realize the audio sucks but our day has been very busy. Events that include a brand new species hatching in the incubator, Ken catching tortoise eggs while being laid by a Yellowfoot Tortoise, a long list of chores that includes alot of picking up of poop, and a wonderfully busy day at the greenhouse nursery. We promise to to use all of that equipment we have been working on to produce better quality but for now… life can be so CRAZY! ~ Adopt ~ Breed ~ Rescue ~ Transport ~ Rehabilitate ~ Crazy Critters Inc. was established to provide non-domestic, non-releasable animals with a safe and permanent home. The sanctuary has adopted animals including reptiles, birds, and assorted wildlife. Once brought to the facility, these exotic animals are housed in naturalistic settings. Allowing propagation that is used for conservation. Currently, this facility houses species of animals listed on CITES. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora is an international treaty to prevent species from becoming endangered or extinct because of international trade. Adding, the Crazy Critters organization has produced offspring from species currently found on the IUCN's Red List. Established in 1964, the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species has evolved to become the world’s most comprehensive information source on the global conservation status of animal, fungi and plant species. Crazy Critters Inc. is a self-funded organization that depends on the greenhouse nursery to pay for the cost of housing exotic animals. The facility grows and sells species of plants such as succulent and cactus to support the care of the animals. Many too are listed on the IUCN's Redlist.
